چکیده
Aim: The aim of the study was to investigate effect temporary plastic stenting and ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) treatment on difficult choledochal stones that cannot be removed by basic ERCP techniques in patients who applied our clinic with occlusion underwent endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).
Material Method: Patients were scanned retrospectively using hospital database. due malignancy, biliary tract injury benign strictures excluded from study. 61 not successful such as sphincterotomy (EST) mechanical lithotripsy (ML) included 750 mg/day UDCA given for three months stent applied. After treatment, tried again.
Results: Among stent+UDCA, (4.9%) had perioperative bleeding, one (1.6%) patient peroperative perforation, four (6.6%) postoperative pancreatitis, mortality. mean stay 1.96±2.1 days. Post-procedure total bilirubin direct values observed lower than before procedure (respectively, p

متن کاملEndoscopic management of difficult common bile duct stones.
Endoscopy is widely accepted as the first treatment option in the management of bile duct stones. In this review we focus on the alternative endoscopic modalities for the management of difficult common bile duct stones. Most biliary stones can be removed with an extraction balloon, extraction basket or mechanical lithotripsy after endoscopic sphincterotomy. Endoscopic papillary balloon dilation...

Background. Most common bile duct (CBD) stones can be removed with standard techniques using endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), but in some cases additional methods are needed. In this study we aimed to investigate the management of patients with difficult stones and the factors that affect the outcome of patients that have undergone periodic endobiliary stenting. Materials ...
متن کاملLaparoscopic management of common bile duct stones: Our experience
Introduction: Common Bile Duct stones (CBD) are found in approximately 16% of the patients undergoing Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC). Till recently, the gold standard for treating CBD stones was endoscopic removal, if that failed, then open surgery. However, in the laparoscopic era, the best treatment for CBD stones is a matter of debate and it continues to evolve. The objective of the prese...

duct stone disease is one of the most common problems in medical practice. Surgical common bile duct (CBD) exploration was the procedure of choice for the treatment of bile duct stones a few decades ago. However, endoscopic retrogr-ade cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) with sphincterotomy has become the treatment of choice for bile duct stones after the development of ERCP techniques. Development...
